Welcome to the Central States Bass Home Page

  • Are you interested in improving your Bass fishing skills?

  • Do you want to become more familiar with local lakes?

  • Are you interested in making some new friends?

Then you have found the right bass club!

CSBA has been an active bass club since 1975 because several good friends who loved bass fishing got together and decided to start a bass club. That spirit of friendship and camaraderie is still as prevalent in the club today as it was back then. We pride ourselves in offering you the opportunity to just come fishing with us!  Whether you own a boat or not, whether you are a great bass fisherman or not, our club offers an opportunity to engage in friendly competition in monthly tournaments hosted on local lakes in an open information sharing atmosphere to make us all better fishermen and better friends!  Test your fishing skills in any or all of our 8 yearly tournaments and a year-end Tournament of Champions finale hosted on local lakes Smithville, Truman, Lake of the Ozarks, Stockton, and Pomme de Terre.

Our yearly club dues are reasonable, and so are our tournament entry fees.  We hold monthly club meetings at 7:00PM on the first Tuesday of each month at Dirk’s Bar and Grill, located at 8132 Northwest Prairie View Road in Kansas City, MO.  Tournaments are held the Saturday after the first Tuesday of each month. See the current year calendar page for additional details.

CSBA is a 100% payback organization.  Boater/non-boater pairings are drawn at each meeting.  Our format is individual, where each fisherman is fishing for his own 5 fish limit.  Boaters and non-boaters do not fish as a team for a combined weight.  However, we do offer separate boater and non-boater big bass side pots.  We pay the first 3 finishing places at each tournament with a 4th portion of entry fee’s going into the year-end Tournament of Champions pot.  If the tournament is sponsored, special prizes for 4th to 8th place are also awarded.

If you are looking for a high stakes, high payout tournament circuit, this is not the club for you.  But if you are looking for a friendly and open club where you can make some friends and learn some new tricks, then come check us out!
